Evans Mills (NY)- On June 14th, 2025, Evans Mills Raceway Park is hosting the Kevin Ward Jr. Memorial Asphalt Spectacular sponsored by State CS Employees FCU, Samaritan Medical Center, Children’s Miracle Network, and Walmart of Evans Mills.
The Kevin Ward Jr. Memorial Asphalt Spectacular is in honor of Kevin Ward Jr., who passed away in August of 2014. Ward Jr., being a northern New York native, is honored during this event while his family still races at the track during the season. Dalton Rombough is the champion from the last two seasons (2023-24) as well as the only racer to ever win the spectacular twice and back-to-back. Danny Varin won in 2022, Tommy Wickham in 2021, and Scott Holcomb in 2019. Kelly “Lil Cobra” Hebing has finished 2nd in the last two years and 3rd in the previous year. Would this have been the year Lil Cobra took the win? We will never know, as she stepped away from racing in 2025, growing her family, and we wish her the best of luck!
