EVANS MILLS, NY – Racing action returns on Saturday June 1st as the make up date for Memorial Day Weekend. All the action is brought to you by Philly Fuels Inc. in Philadelphia, NY and Shufelt’s Service LLC in Remsen, NY, Tug Edge Outdoor & More, and FERRIS Commercial Mowers. The Zeigler family including brothers Scott and Steve Zeigler and Taylor Doxtater Roofing have also made major contributions to support the drivers this weekend.  There will also be a classic car show and parade on the track after heat races.

Anyone that brings a classic/restored car to the track to participate in the show and/or parade will receive 2 FREE general admission tickets to the race.

Legends night will be honoring past heroes of the track and the founding brothers of the Evans Mills Speedway Bob and Dick Zeigler with the second annual running of the Zeigler’67 Memorial race (67-laps) for the Kinney Drugs Sportsman Modifieds. In 2023, Kreig Heroth, also the defending track champion sealed the deal to earn his name on the perpetual trophy which is an original award earned by Bob Zeigler in 1961.

The night is full of prize money and bonuses. The Zeigler’67 modified race will pay $1,967 to the winner, and $250 to take the green flag. The Excess Storage Pro Late Models will race for $467 to win, the Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends and Stewart’s Shops Sport Compacts will compete for $267, and $167 will go to the winner of the FENIX U-Pull U-Save Syracuse Thunderstocks.

Prize money is also available to heat winners with $90 going to Sportsman Modifieds and Pro Late Models, and $67 going to INEX Legends, Sport Compacts, and Thunderstocks. These awards are honoring past track champions such as: Freddy Gibson (1967 Sportsman), Dick Lappen (1967 Hobby), Guy (Shorty) Robinson (First feature winner), Gary Reddick (1968 Sportsman), Dave Clark (1968 Hobby), Tony Blake (1969 Sportsman), Jeff Walts (1969 Stocker).
