EVANS MILLS, NY – The North Country sky will be illuminated for the fourth year in a row by “Northern Lights,” the drive-thru holiday light show hosted at the Evans Mills Raceway Park. Local businesses Bob Johnson Auto Group and NBC Watertown have partnered to present the fourth installment of the growing holiday experience. Other local businesses help make the show possible every year by sponsoring light displays placed throughout the show.
Northern Lights is a drive-thru holiday light experience where friends and family are invited to load up the car and drive through a path of massive lit displays ranging from a Victorian village to 30ft. tall Christmas trees, castles, and juggling snowmen. The path travels through the property of the Evans Mills Raceway Park including the campgrounds, parking lot, pits, and race track. Sponsors of Northern Lights are adding to the experience by gifting attendees a complimentary second lap through the show on the night they attend.

Northern Lights will celebrate Opening Night Thursday November 27th on Thanksgiving evening from 5:00pm-9:00pm. The show will be open four days a week from Thanksgiving to the final day on New Year’s Day. Each week, the show will run Thursday-Sunday 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Tickets are $20 per carload. Other ticket prices are available for mini-buses and full size and coach buses. Tickets can be purchased at the box office / cottage during the night of the show, or online ahead of time. Online tickets are valid to use for any day the show is open. Tickets are on-sale now and can be purchased from this page: Buy Tickets Now
Thanks to help from local businesses, Northern Lights has expanded each year since the first show in 2022. Heading into the second year, many classic favorites were added including angels, candles, a motorcycle and more. The following year two main attractions were added with a 30ft. tall Christmas tree on the patio and a larger than life train station. Both became favorite spots for families to pull off the driving path and take family photos. In 2025, Northern Lights is proud to expand the driving path along US-11 and introduce it’s first in-house fabricated display.
After seeing success in 2022. The team at the Evans Mills Raceway Park set goals to expand and eventually build our own displays with the help of Brandano Displays, the commercial light show fabrication and installation company based on Wellesley Island responsible for creating the original displays. Before new displays could be tackled, much time was spent refurbishing the displays on hand to a like new status with new paint, light line, and bulbs. This week, Brady Gill of EMRP completed his first custom creation, a snow globe.

Travelers passing by the race track on US-11 will see displays already standing. As we prepare to open doors soon, we look forward to being in the community with our Bob Johnson Auto Group pace truck and information about Northern Lights at Christmas parades, and community events.
