EVANS MILLS, NY – The Evans Mills Raceway Park returned to action to celebrate the life of track friend Nicole Berry-Garnsey and her life and commitment to wellness and healthy living. Nicole, a nutritionist by trade has had a night dedicated to her memory annual at EMRP after her passing from complications involving Ovarian Cancer. Don, Brenda, and the entire Berry family help host the evening by dedicating nutritional supplies and gifts to be given away throughout the night.
River Hospital was on board as the Presenting Partner informing race fans about their many projects and new construction to strengthen their services for the North Country. The Alexandria Bay, NY based hospital system currently boasts many great programs and care takers for all your medical needs.
Upon entering the facility fans were greeted with free apples provided by the Berry family, and the concession stand offered fresh cups of fruit as part of the continuing Nicole’s Fruitful Soul program each week at the track.
The Classic Asphalt Modified Series was in attendance for their second of three races on the season and joined by all other Championship divisions. The night concluded with two extremely tight points battles for the track championship with the top four Kinney Drugs Modifieds separated by four points, and the top four Christman Fuel INEX Legends separated by three points.
The 2nd Pit Crew Clash Presented by BG Fab took place before feature races rolled off. The Kinney Drugs Modifieds teams competing included: Eli Petzoldt, Andre Roggie, Taylor Caprara, Joe Papin, and Tony Pettinelli.
The Pettinelli crew took the top prize for best speed on pit road, and the Roggie crew took home the prize for best theme again!
