Rocket 76er set to celebrate the USA!

EVANS MILLS, NY – The second installment of the Bob Johnson Auto Group Rocket 76er takes the stage this Saturday July 6th at the Evans Mills Raceway Park. The Kinney Drugs Modifieds will embark on a 76-lap feature to honor the year 1776. The winner will take home $1,200 and the race will pay $215 to start. The night will also honor Nicole Berry-Garnsey and her commitment to health and wellness education in the North Country. July 6th’s events also include the fan favorite family autograph session where fans will be able to go onto the track and meet their favorite drivers, get their autograph, and take photos. Thomas Trash Service has come on board to support the family autograph and Nicole Berry-Garnsey memorial portion of the night.

Bob Johnson Auto Group locations in Watertown, Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and Volkswagen have partnered with the independence day week event for the second year in a row to show their commitment to our community and active and retired military. This year’s EMRP Pace Truck is a Ram from the folks at Bob Johnson CDJR on outer Washington St. in Watertown. EMRP will be glad to have many employees and friends join us for the festivities.

Thomas Trash Service and Excavating located in Adams, NY has been the preferred sanitation partner of EMRP for the last two seasons. EMRP can always count on TTS to be on time and clean in their pick up of waste at the race track. They help us keep the facility clean and up to our standards.

The first Rocket 76er in 2023 was won by then rookie Joe Papin in the #3 Kinney Drugs modified as part of a three-week winning streak where he earned his first feature wins. The Kinney Drugs modifieds have seen a minimum of 20 cars each week which will make a tough challenge for Papin to repeat in 2024, but Papin Racing has a car up for the challenge. Kinney Drugs Modifieds drivers will be able to purchase three new American Racer tires before the race.

The night will also feature racing from the Classic Asphalt Modifieds Series and all other weekly divisions including the Excess Storage Pro Late Models, Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends, Stewart’s Shops Sport Compacts, and FENIX U-Pull U-Save Syracuse Thunderstocks.

Tickets are $18 for adult general admission, $16 for military, and $10 for youth. 9 and under are FREE. Single booths are available for $50.

Gates open at 5:00pm and heat racing begins at 6:00pm.
