EVANS MILLS, NY – The crowd favorite First Responders Night returns this Saturday August 24th at the Evans Mills Raceway Park thanks to S&R Automotive. S&R Automotive and premier towing and repair service with their home base in Mannsville, NY have supported this event year after year. The night also includes Box Car racing for kids. A box car is a cardboard box cut to wear around a child with suspender straps. Families will often design their box to appear like a race car. Kids will have their box car races on the front stretch after heat racing concludes.
Over the last few years, Kevin Warren, Harry Faulk Jr., and Jay Shimel have helped organize the 25+ First Responder vehicles displayed in the midway. We expect another great touch-a-truck show and parade laps on the track after heat racing.
All weekly divisions return to racing after a wild and entertaining week at The Mills. The Kinney Drugs Modifieds return to a 35 lap feature after last week’s twin 20s that awarded wins to Joel Hargrave and Kyle Hart.
The Excess Storage Pro Late Models, Stewart’s Shops Sport Compacts, Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends, and FENIX U-Pull U-Save Syracuse Thunderstocks all return to action in the penultimate points week.
Pit gates open at 3:00pm and General Admission gates open at 5:00pm.
