EVANS MILLS, NY – The Race of Champions Tour Modifieds visited the Evans Mills Raceway Park last July 13th for the Summer Sizzler 80. This was the first time tour modifieds had been raced at The Mills in over 20 years. Track management at EMRP is pleased to announce the return of the ROC Tour Modified series for the 2025 season moving to Independence Day Weekend on Saturday July 5th.
In the first two year’s of its existence, the Bob Johnson Auto Group Rocket 76er moniker had been used to support the 76-lap Kinney Drugs Sportsman Modifieds race. Joe Papin from Redwood, NY won both installments of the Rocket 76er. For 2025, the Rocket 76er will now be the 76-lap ROC Tour Modified race.
Last season, the ROC tour brought along the top driving talent in the northeast including race winner Matt Hirschman, Andy Jankowiak, Carson Loftin, Jack Ely, Zane Zeiner, and more. They were also joined by EMRP regulars Bryan Sherwood, Tony Pettinelli, Joe Papin, and Bryce Bailey. The 80-lap race concluded with only one caution.
Nick Czerow with EMRP said “we’re glad to have the ROC Tour Mods back for this year and we’re looking forward to building a must-attend race around the Fourth of July for race teams and fans. It was easy working with series director Joe Skotnicki and we were pleased with a strong field of 23 cars last year.”
Information regarding the 2025 race season will be released in the coming weeks as Team EMRP is also working on their drive-thru holiday light show, Northern Lights re-opening Thursday November 28th at the Evans Mills Raceway Park.
