Introducing Brady Gill, the new Director of Operations

Evans Mills, NY – The Evans Mills Raceway Park promoted a familiar face ahead of their 2023 racing season. Brady Gill of LaFargeville, NY has been named the new Director of Operations for the Evans Mills Raceway Park and the Northern Lights Holiday Drive-Through Show.

The new Director of Operations comes from an extensive background in racing. Growing up as the youngest son of EMRP owners Lee and Peggy Gill, Brady Gill has been involved in every aspect of fabricating, tuning, wrapping, and racing cars. Gill has been a crucial component of the renovation process to EMRP from 2019 when the Gill family purchased the facility.

Gill will be the presence behind construction of improvements, tower and pit controls, fabrication of light displays, and more. Gill has already hit the ground running by painting and working on the TJ Toyota Tower and packing away the Northern Lights Holiday Drive-Through Show which he will prepare for its second year opening in November 2023.

Gill has always been a part of promoting and improving EMRP and is a familiar face in the pits and grandstands. Of his transition from wrenching on cars on Saturday nights to leading the operations Gill stated “I’m really excited. Every time I’ve stepped foot into a race track, I’ve always looked at it from a competitors’ point of view. So, to switch it up and work with race control and see all the inner workings of what makes Saturday nights at EMRP work has me really pumped up to get the season under way!”

EMRP Owner Peggy Gill is confident in the future with Brady on board, “We feel Brady brings a creative and up to date perspective of racing to our team at EMRP. We look forward to collaborating with him and watching him learn and grow as we all work together to improve the facility and overall racer and fan experience at Evans Mills Raceway Park.”

General manager Nick Czerow feels Brady Gill is the perfect hire “Brady is truly a jack of all trades. His background gives him an advantage in decision making regarding any racing program scenarios. He also can bring any of his or our visions for the track to life. He has great character and is respected by all in the racing community. He will be a tremendous help to the future of EMRP!”

The EMRP staff worked hard over the off-season to put together an exhilarating schedule for fans to enjoy. Gill is eager to welcome them back on May 6th for the season opener, “You meet some of the greatest people at the racetrack. The friends and memories that I have made at the races, I wouldn’t trade that for the world. That paired with the sights and sounds, I mean come on! I think everyone needs to experience it for themselves.”

The teams competing at The Mills in 2023 will be just as ready to return. Gill commented on the intensity of the on-track action, “I think competition is as high as it’s ever been at EMRP. I’ll use the Caskinette Ford Modifieds as an example. You have some heavy hitters like Bryan Sherwood and Kreig Heroth that you can always count on marching to the front. On the other hand, you also have some up-and-coming guys like Kaden Rogers and Joe Papin that show lots of speed heading into their sophomore season. There’s going to be battles all over the racetrack, and I can’t wait to see it!”

Ready to get the wheels turning, Gill finished by saying “I’m hoping to have a smooth transition into this new role, I’m sure that there will be a hiccup here and there but that’s all part of the learning process. I like the challenge of taking on this opportunity, so let’s bring on 2023!”

The Evans Mills Raceway Park will be opening their doors for open practice on Saturday April 29th followed by Opening Night on May 6th with the return of the Caskinette Ford Sportsman Modifieds, Excess Storage Pro Late Models, Christman Fuel Services INEX Legends, Sport Compacts, and Thunderstocks.
