EVANS MILLS, NY – As the 2019 Inaugural Race Season comes to a close, and the winterization process begins, the team at EMRP continues planning to improve the racing and overall experience at Evans Mills Raceway Park.
As of the opening of the 2020 Season, we will add a Pro Late Model class as well as 6 Cylinder Stinger class to the established field of Sportsman Modified, INEX Legends and Sport Compacts, Saturday nights May through October.
“We have had interest in a full-bodied class of cars here and would like to add alternate levels of competition” explains owner/promoter Lee Gill.
The team has been working a few weeks on establishing rules for both classes as well as analyzing rules and results of the 2019 season. The Stingers will offer a full-bodied entry-level class for those interested in an economical, no contact division to become involved in racing. The Stingers will compete every other week on the EMRP schedule and the Pro Late Models will run weekly.
The Pro Late Model Class is a more traditional style racecar much like a Nascar style car. They will have motor options and a basic set of rules to keep the division economical. They will run on a track tire and track fuel to fortify the points fund and maintain consistency of competition.
We have had many conversations with teams interested in both of these divisions. We have located and brought in quality equipment to the area to further enhance the classes.
Anyone interested in more information can locate the rules to each of these division on our website under the “Rules” tab and can always call us at 315-658-8019 or 315-323-6033 for details.
