EVANS MILLS, NY – The Mighty TQ Midget Touring Series return to the Evans Mills Raceway Park this Saturday August 1st as part of their chase for the American Racer Cup. Their first ever visit to the North Country facility occurred June 27th as part of Rocket 76er night. They boasted two exhilarating heat races and a phenomenal feature won by Andy Jankowiak.
The Mighty TQ Midgets Takeover is presented by the FX Caprara Family of Dealerships including CDJR in Alex Bay, NY and KIA and Honda in Watertown. Advanced Business Systems is also supporting the weekend’s entertainment.
All championship divisions will be back in action with tight points races in all divisions heading towards King of the Mills Night.
The Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends are led by Landen Herring with six points separating the top four drivers Herring, Joel Hall, Josh Oomen, and Brayton Malbeuf.
The Kinney Drugs Modifieds have seen the emergence of Jesse Bearup as a championship contender after securing his second feature win. Dylan Bancroft and Taylor Caprara have also closed the gap to Joe Papin’s points lead. Bryan Sherwood currently sits fifth in points only 19 back from Papin.
Neil Barker’s success and three feature wins has lead to a comfortable lead in the LaFave Motor Sales Crown Vics. Dustin Hutton (-15) and Kyle Wurtz (-24) currently sit second and third. Terry Gardner expects to throw a wrench into the standings after finding speed in his second Crown Vic weekend.
The Stewart’s Shops Sport Compacts are lead by Mike Greenfield with Bridget Austin and Sam Curcie trailing behind.
The Excess Storage Thunderstocks consistently have the tightest points battle year after year. After a thrilling 4-BANGER NATIONALS, Colby Goodale takes the points lead over son Levi by seven points. Matt Marcinko sits third at nine points behind the leader. Tim Greenfield (-11) and Mike Marcinko (-24) round out the top five.
