Hirschman Back-to-back at The Mills and Two First-Time Winners

EVANS MILLS, NY – The Evans Mills Raceway Park played host to the Race of Champions Tour Modifieds series on Saturday July 5th for the Rocket 76er presented by the Bob Johnson Auto Group in Watertown and Pulaski, and NAPA Auto Parts. The ROC series brought some of the best modified drivers in the nation to do battle for 76 laps around The Mills.

Joe Papin with his fifth trophy of 2025 – Turn 4 Photos

Joe Papin has been dominating the Kinney Drugs Modifieds division thus far in 2025. He would start deep in the field once again but quickly find his way to the front on a night he was performing double duty. Dylan Bancroft has proven to be the most consistent challenge to the Papin Racing crew, but Papin would finish with a strong lead over the field earning his 10th feature win in just a season and a half of racing.

Levi Goodale earned his first feature win – Turn 4 Photos

Mike Greenfield looked to be the quickest of the four-cylinders but heavy traffic and three wide scenarios would spell trouble for Greenfield and Justin Burns. Mike Cole remained on his bumper ready to pounce. The finish was hectic coming to the checkered flag, a week after Colby Goodale jokingly mentioned in victory lane that Levi Goodale “might win if he stops running into me,” it was just that that sealed Levi’s first feature win. Colby would develop a flat front right tire in front of Levi leaving him no choice to push him off his front bumper on his way to victory.

Once again the ROC Tour Modified Series would put on a clean thrilling race. In both 2024 and this installment, the feature race ran with only one caution flag. Mike Leaty would bring the field to green, but Jankowiak and Hirschman would astonishingly find their way to second and third in quick time. Hirschman would take to the inside of Jankowiak and use his rhythm to pass Leaty for the led within another few laps. Austin Beers kept catching the leaders and worked his way to second but did not have anything to challenge the now two-time winner at the Evans Mills Raceway Park.

Josh Oomen came to the Thousand Island Bait Store Start Fishin’ Line under a sky of fireworks for his first feature win – Turn 4 Photos

Brayton Malbeuf and Joel Hall would look to be the class of the field once again but Josh Oomen has been the pillar of consistency through 2025. On a late restart, Malbeuf and Hall would soar high into turn one allow Oomen to sneak under both of them to hold the lead for the final two laps and claim his first every Feature win at Evans Mills.
